To implement conferences with "live" surgery a multiple IP-broadcast system has been created. It consists of the equipment located in the operating unit and a mobile kit. The whole system functions in the Full HD 1080p50 format.

DNK Corporation pays a lot of attention to expanding their sphere of activity and developing adjacent markets.

The completed project became one more step in the re-equipment of the media system the IRTC "Eye Microsurgery", allowing the customer to keep up with the times, sustaining the image of the "trendsetter" in such a high-tech sphere as modern medicine. The Corporation engineers applied all their rich experience in building various TV broadcasting complexes and AV-systems taking into account the customer's requirements, creating the most convenient and high-quality complex.

The system is built on the basis of Matrox equipment, which consists of encoders and decoders of video streams in IP. Managing all of its elements comes from a single application installed on any computer on the network. This approach has a significant advantage since it is not necessary to configure the operation of each encoder and decoder separately, via the web interface. This greatly speeds up and simplifies the work with it. In fact, the system is a virtual video matrix that operates "over IP", in which any "input"-coder can be switched to any number of "outputs" of decoders in an arbitrary order. Due to the "virtuality" of this matrix it is possible to build geographically dispersed systems of any complexity and unlimited scale, which was realized in this project.

In the operating unit surgical microscopes are equipped with Sony medical cameras. All cameras were calibrated on a color reference chart using an oscilloscope, which ensures the accuracy of transmission of all shades. Thus, the output of the camera displays exactly what the surgeon sees in the eyepiece of the microscope during the operation.

Matrox encoders are installed at each workplace of a surgeon, which allows both sending video stream from cameras to the IP network and recording video to a network file server of large capacity. In addition to transferring the picture of the operating field, the video is broadcast outside the microscope using a professional report camera. In the second video stream the surgeon's hands and the tools used during the operation are displayed, and at the end an interview is conducted, where specialists outside the operating room ask the surgeons questions.

The equipment used at conferences on the other end of the TV link-up is arranged in shockproof protective cases. Technologically this is an outside broadcasting unit in cases, but instead of video cameras, it connects IP streams from the operating rooms and computers with presentations. Due to the fact that DNK Corporation specialists have rich experience in constructing both large and small outside broadcasting units, this project has been succeeded in bringing all the best from the world of telecasting, in particular, the highest possible quality of video and sound, reliability, ergonomics of work on the complex. The construction of the case designed by the DNK Corporation differs by the original arrangement of video monitors rising from the horizontal position and installed with a negative inclination angle for convenience.

In addition, the intercom system "operating room -conference hall", working in full-duplex mode, has been implemented.

The specialized equipment supplied corresponds to the simplicity of control and the maximum quality of the display.

The workplace of an operator of the system is designed taking into account the requirements of ergonomics, and is equipped with a sliding shelf with a keyboard and mouse.
